When I was walking past the meadow, A little boy named Frank was running behind a feather . I was wondering what does the feather mean to him ? Why is he curious about its next move ? Is he going to capture it ? Let’s try to have a view from the shoes of Frank.
After going through gruelling pages on the subject “Art of Decision Making” , I hadn’t found the essence of it. I decided to take a walk thinking nothing.I came across this little cheerful shrewd boy who incidentally came in my way while tracking the feather.My attention was engrossed in his persistent action.
He jumped the hurdles , skidded across the slippery pathways,never bothered about the bushes , he seemed relentless.The people around cautioned him for being crazy about the feather.But he never paid attention to their words and kept on tracing the route of the feather .Finally ,That moment came and he was about to get that feather in his hands . But it got locked in a branch of a tree . He stood there for few minutes but the feather showed no mercy on him. He started stepping away from the tree with a disappointment.
Here comes, the heroic moment , a breeze touched him and the feather couldn’t hide itself this time. It just came down and rested on his way.The story doesn’t end here. He took it and shed a gracious smile .He then let the feather to float. I was perplexed. I couldn’t resist myself from knowing the reason behind his intention.I stopped him and asked
Me : Why you were eager in catching the feather ?
Frank :Sis , what a stupid question is this ? It’s universally known that the feather is auspicious . But I never had one before.So I chased my own fortune today.
Me : Then , Why would you let it fly ?
Frank : Now it’s my friend’s turn to feel bliss.So , I floated it towards him.
It was an enlightening moment for me .In my case ,The feather symbolizes the decisions we take . It is absolutely clueless . Because human decisions are never taken with assured outcomes. It is packed with risks , excitements , disappointments. But they are important to feel us human…To give hope to next man to take a leap… Few minutes back , Frank didn’t know whether he will make it to the feather or not .The feather might be clueless but he never cared less for the feather! Decisions are not always responsible but how responsible we are ,after taking the decision will determine – What we are !
