Revisiting Engineering

I hereby congratulate my brother who has achieved a landmark success by cracking the job of his dream the SBI PO within a stipulated timeframe which he set to himself. But our story doesn’t end here… This article is not about any of us on the picture… Now you can ask me then why on earth I have attached it if it has no relevance. No worries, you will get an answer to this at the end…

Apart from blood, we share one more thing in common, that’s “Engineering”…As soon as he accomplishes his goal, the one question he faced was – Areh, you are an engineer, how come you pick a bank job?

He didn’t even feel that the job interview was challenging anymore but this question. He is not alone in this… Lot of us have the same question before us. I gave it a thought and wanted to share my perspective about it

No one on the earth would have hated engineering than I did when I had to enroll on to the course… šŸ˜‚ Disclaimer – I am not an advocate / academic counsellor promoting engineers… Even today I don’t say that Engineering is the best course and engineers have great careers… I don’t even call Engineering as a profession…

Having given enough reasons to criticise me,now it’s time to address the “Why” part of it.. Because, I see engineering as a way of life.. Whatever the job I am in, whomever the people I am dealing with, wherever the life takes me, I experience all through the engineering perspective…Unknowingly we all have been engineering something in our own walks of life… Who can measure, design, apply logical thinking to any problem of life is an engineer… As long as problems exists engineers do exist…. Not only as solvers but also as sowers

So finally no matter whatever you do, do it the engineering way!

Measure – Attached photo is the engineering way of letting you know the fact that the picture gets more audience than words…šŸ˜‡
